BASIC FIRST AID & CPR TRAINING

For over 100 years, the Red Cross has been a world leader in establishing First Aid training standards and in developing procedures and guidelines. Drawing on our extensive experience we have helped shape the world’s understanding of, and approach to, First Aid and are considered a major provider of First Aid globally.

Our training meets the standards of the International Consensus on CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC) Science; and the International Committee on Resuscitation.

The TTRCS acknowledges how crucial every second is during an emergency and understands the importance of providing the public with basic First Aid and CPR training as it can mean the difference between life and death. The goal of the First Aid training is to train civilians to respond quickly and correctly in appropriate situations.

Our First Aid / CPR / AED course is valid for two years once completed. The duration of the training is one day, from 8am - 4pm.

COURSE COST - $600

WILDERNESS & REMOTE FIRST AID

Wilderness and Remote First Aid involves the assessment of, and treatment given to, an injured or ill person in a remote environment such as the forest or out at sea - in the absence of a healthcare professional and rapid emergency transport to such care.

Our wilderness first aid training class is not yet offered to the public as a large number of persons are required to hold each class. Currently, the training is only offered to corporations.

PSYCHOLOGICAL FIRST AID

Psychological first aid consists of essential skills designed to help you navigate and cope with distressing situations and events. These skills can be applied to manage your own challenges or to support others in distress, enabling them to better understand and handle their experiences.

The primary goal of psychological first aid is to alleviate the initial distress someone feels following a difficult event. It addresses a person’s immediate and practical needs, such as finding temporary shelter if they've been displaced or helping them reach out to family or other support.

Become trained in Psychological First Aid and be the first to offer hope.

PFA certification is valid for two (2) years once completed. The duration of the training is one (1) day, from 8am to 2 pm.

COURSE COST - $500.00
