Our Services

Our Crisis management department prepares communities to be self-reliant in the face of adversities. This department provides programmes designed to equip citizens with relevant skills and information to both prepare for and respond to disasters.

DISASTER MANAGEMENT

We at the TTRCS, provide support and training to communities in Trinidad and Tobago so that these communities can gain disaster resilience. We cover areas of Disaster Preparedness, Response and Recovery.

MIGRATION

We work with partners to assist the migrant population with their needs and ensures that they have access to the necessities of life and can live in dignity. Our work also helps to promote tolerance and understanding of migrants and to combat discrimination against them.

CLIMATE CHANGE MANAGEMENT

The TTRCS is changing the culture through education by training communities on the impacts of climate change and the best practices to have a sustainable community. This initiative also seeks to make youth an integral part of the change needed.

  • Training: We offer training in Disaster Preparedness, Shelter Management, CERT Training for communities and corporate, Vulnerability and Capacity Assessment and Community Disaster Plan

Risk Assessment: When disasters happen, we assess the area in terms of the damage done, people affected and those who are most vulnerable so that aid can be given in order of priority.

Corporate Sponsor Link: Corporate sponsors work with us to identify the communities that are most vulnerable and from there the Sponsors work directly with the members of the community to effectively meet their needs.

  • Programa Teen: This is an initiative of the TTRCS and UNICEF which provides cash grants to migrant households with students enrolled in the Dawere online learning platform.

Unaccompanied and Separated Children: Aid is given to children who are not recognised as adults by law but are still deemed fit to live on their own as they may not have parents or legal guardians.
